There are quite a few concerns that accompany a mold or microbial problem. The background of the individual or individuals occupying the space in question is imperative. Immune-suppressed , elderly and infant individuals are most at risk. Certain water marker mold spores such as Penicillium/ Aspergillus, Chaetomium, Stachybotrys and Fusarium accompany water intrusion events and can be found almost certainly in all water damaged building materials that haven't had a drying process conducted within 24 -48 hours.

In all cases of an occupied space, containment is constructed to minimize the release of mold contaminants while mold remediation is performed. Mold spores are microscopic, cannot be seen with the naked eye, and can be released by the slightest movement or disturbance. After containment is constructed, negative air machines are put in place to draw mold contaminants toward the intake of the device while exhausting fresh HEPA-filtrated air.

Personal Protective Equipment such as masks, goggles, gloves and Tyvek suits are worn to ensure our workers' safety during the mold removal process. All workers are trained in proper safety protocol.

Any porous building materials impacted by microbial growth, such as drywall must be removed, bagged and contained and properly disposed. All surfaces and substrate should be HEPA vacuumed throughly to remove mold spores from surfaces. Wipe down of all structure and substrate ensures that surfaces have been cleaned and free of mold contamination and residue.

HEPA (High efficiency Particulate Air) Vacuum: This is used to ensure that all particulates and mold contaminants are removed and not exhausted into the air.

Wipe Down: Wiping of surfaces and substrate enable the surfaces to be clean and also to make sure that no spores are left that could potentially contaminate the space.

Air scrubbers: These four-stage filtration devices contain HEPA filtration and are vital to arrest and contain mold contaminants that go airborne.

Dehumidifiers: This equipment stabilizes the environment to minimize the potential for continual mold growth. Dehumidifiers draw moisture from the surrounding environment which in turn provides the proper drying conditions needed.

Kett Saw: This saw is implemented due to the fact it uses HEPA filtration while cutting drywall. It is very effective in minimizing dust and mold dispersement during the mold remediation process.

6mil Poly And Bags: 6 mil poly for building containment and 6 mil trash bags are used because they provide the proper thickness to contain mold contaminants from their release.
